How to build this skill
Build with your hands. Lego, magnetic tiles, modelling clay, balsa wood — anything where you imagine a shape, build it, and see where you were wrong.
Take things apart. Old electronics or small appliances, screwdriver required. Reconstructing how parts fit is the real exercise.
Sketch from multiple angles. Draw an object's front, top, and side view — even badly.
Try CAD. Free tools like Tinkercad force active rotation and manipulation.
Play spatial games. Tetris and 3D puzzle games are genuinely evidence-backed spatial trainers.
